Palette Blanket Sea
Blanket in the Palette pattern designed by the duo Skogstad&Wærnes.
The Palette pattern is inspired by graphic prints and fine art. Although the pattern is woven, it almost gives the impression of being printed on the fabric. Palette gives associations to classic printing techniques such as stencil, screen printing or lithography, and is just as beautiful when it hangs out as when it is folded.
Skogstad & Wærnes
Skogstad & Wærnes is a design studio in Oslo with the designers Petter Skogstad and Fredrik Wærnes. They have known each other since they both studied product design, and after completing their studies have worked for 10 years creating designs for, among others, Anderssen & Voll, Andreas Engesvik and Snøhetta. In 2020, they started their own studio, and want to approach design in an honest and thoughtful way, and are driven by the complexity and responsibility involved in creating new products. They work widely and are particularly passionate about designing furniture, lighting and utility items.
With origins dating back to the 18th century, Røros Tweed makes fantastic quality woolen blankets in the factory located 600 meters above sea level. The large factory started up in 1952 and before that many of the products were made at home by the residents of Røros. Since then, Røros Tweed has experimented with Norwegian wool and developed textile products of high quality and good design. They have collaborated with several Norwegian designers to create a modern design that continues to be inspired by Røro's aesthetic and cultural heritage.
