Furniture and product designer Sverre Uhnger exhibits and sells the Krets coaster at Norway Designs NÅ Vol. 3 SEXTEN.
Sverre Uhnger has been based in Oslo since 2011 and is part of Studio Prindsen - a creative office community in the historic Prindsen quarter. The building houses, among other things, designers such as Runa Klock, Kristine Bjaadal and Hallgeir Homstvedt and other players such as the furniture manufacturer Elementa and Foodstudio.

Sverre Uhnger specializes in furniture and product design and focuses on collaboration with brands and manufacturers in Norway and internationally. He has a background as a cabinetmaker and is a trained designer from the University of the Arts and Aalto University in Helsinki. Sverre focuses on creating products that feel natural to the user and where the inherent qualities of the materials and production techniques are in focus.
"I think very many Norwegians at least have a very strong relationship with wood. Everyone has nailed when they were little, or has a grandfather or grandmother who made products out of wood."
Sverre has designed objects for, among others, Mitab (SE), Brdr. Krüger (DK) and Others (NO) and participated in exhibitions in Stockholm, New York, Tokyo, Milan and Paris, among others. In addition to running his own design office, he works with the dissemination of Norwegian design through exhibition projects in Norway and internationally with various partners. He is also involved at the Norwegian School of Architecture and Design in Oslo and sits on the board of Designers Saturday and the Council for Furniture and Interior Design and the Club .
PRODUCTS FOR THE EXHIBITION
Krets is produced by the growth company Asker Produkt, which is a modern production company based on local disabled labor with a focus on products within food and wood.
