Stine Aas, Ragnhild Wik, Anja Borgersrud, Formbar, Aula, Randi Elmenhorst, Noidoi, Camilla Løken, Ingrid Aspen and Mette Strøm are the names behind this year's Christmas market.

Norway Design's Christmas market is a selected collection of Christmas decorations handmade in Norway especially for Norway Designs. We at Norway Designs wanted to highlight Norwegian Christmas decorations and approached artisans and designers earlier this year. The task was to make Norwegian, handmade Christmas decorations. The contribution of ten skilled artisans and designers and their unique Christmas decorations make up the collection in this year's Christmas market. They have made Christmas decorations in materials such as concrete, ceramics, glass, wood, linen and metal. All the Christmas decorations are of course for sale, and we hope you can find something for yourself or someone you love.

Stine Aas - Candlestick Concrete
Stine Aas' handmade candlestick holds two candles. The candlestick is made of concrete and treated with soap shavings. The shape is organic and inspired by figures and animals from nativity scenes that Aas remembers from his own childhood.

Ragnhild Wik - Christmas star and Christmas tree
Ragnhild Wik's handmade Christmas star and Christmas tree are made in unglazed porcelain. They are shaped and assembled by hand and each tree and each star is therefore unique. The Christmas tree has a base of birch wood and the poinsettia has a leather thread.

Anja Borgersrud - Christmas Ball Bubble
Anja Borgersrud's Boble is a handmade Christmas bauble in molded porcelain with silver or gold luster and hanging from linen cord. The original form is modeled by hand and then used as a starting point for a three-part plaster mold for porcelain casting.

Moldable - Christmas tree, Snow crystal and Christmas vase
Eirin Bjørsland Hansen's handmade Christmas tree and snow crystal are made of glass. With a red silk ribbon, the snow crystal can be hung on a Christmas tree, and the Christmas tree can stand on a table or on a windowsill. The Christmas vase Jorunn is a hand-blown glass vase, designed as a dedication to Hansen's grandmother, Jorunn. The simple and elegant vase is a reminder that our lives are beautiful and transient.

Aula - Hand towel Echo
Ekho by Aula is a hand towel in cotton and linen, produced at Grinakervev in Hadeland. The simple and stylistic motif is inspired by braided baskets traditionally used as Christmas tree decorations in Norway. With its simplified and clean pattern, Ekho works as a toned-down and functional Christmas decoration. The name Ekho describes the structure of the pattern, as well as the echo of the more traditional Christmas decoration.

Randi Elmenhorst - Christmas figures
Randi Elmenhorst's handmade Christmas figures are made of spruce and pine that have been painted and varnished four times. The expression is inspired by toys from the 1920s. The Elmenhorsts wanted to make Christmas decorations that can be refined with age and passed down.

Noidoi - Christmas tree
Noidoi's handmade Christmas tree is made of three molded ceramic cylinders and a wooden ball strung on a leather cord. Together they form a triangle and are a stylistic interpretation of the Christmas tree. The product is handmade in Noidoi's studio at Kapp Melkefabrikk, and each tree is unique.

Camilla Løken - Bjellevev
Camilla Løken's handmade Christmas bells are made of brass wire that is woven into a three-dimensional shape. The bells are just as suitable for the Christmas tree as they are for decorating the table or on a windowsill.

Ingrid Aspen - Conklekule
Ingrid Aspen's cone ball is made of mouth-blown glass over pine cones from Lyngen in Troms. The glass cone can be hung up or used as a table decoration. With the cone ball, Aspen wanted to freeze for a moment and preserve the unique shape, elevate it and let it be an imprint of nature at Christmas. The cone is the tree's small seed bearer and at the same time a rich, historical symbol bearer. The cast inside the sphere can look like a miniature winter mountain, or a scaled, snowy fir tree.

Mette Strøm - Christmas tree
Mette Strøm's handmade Christmas tree is made of glazed porcelain. The Christmas trees are sculpted, and therefore each tree will be unique and vary in size and colour.
