PRODUCTS FOR THE EXHIBITION

Bol – Wasps are often perceived as troublesome and aggressive. But like all living creatures, they have their natural place in the ecosystem - and they build wonderful dens. They have inspired Åse-Marit to make these pieces of jewelery in silver and colored plastic which are built up from single cells into larger structures. Here, the light is captured, amplified and moved around the cell structure by movement.

Bend and fold - fold and bend - Inspired by origami, Åse-Marit has developed a folding technique with thin silver strips. The folds make the jewelery flexible and possible to shape further. In these pieces of jewellery, she has been concerned with light and shadow, rhythm and precision.
