Sealing wax 3pcs Light Green
Wax stick that can be melted with a wax spoon. It can also be used in a low temperature glue gun! The package contains 3 rods and these make around 10 wax seals per rod. Each rod has a diameter of 11mm and a length of 14cm. The wax has a haze and a nice light pink colour.
How to make a seal:
Cut off approx. 2 cm from the wax stick and put in a wax spoon. Then hold the spoon over the flame of a candle until all the wax has melted into the spoon. Then pour the wax over the envelope or document to be sealed. The amount of wax you pour out should have a diameter slightly smaller than your stamp. Then make an impression in the wax with a stamp. Allow the piston to rest for approx. 30 seconds before removing the stamp so that the wax has time to harden.
If you notice that the piston is difficult to remove from the wax, you can lubricate your piston with a little oil. Neutral cooking oil also works perfectly. If you are going to make many seals in a row, the stamp also tends to get hot. Then the stamp will also be a little more difficult to remove from the wax. So then a tip is to put an ice cube inside a drying cloth which you then use to put the stamp on while you melt the wax. This way the stamp cools down a little until the next time you make an impression.
If you've been unlucky enough to get the wax firmly stuck to the piston, you just have to try to remove the wax carefully. Then lubricate it well with oil before using again.
Stefan Papir is a Norwegian brand run by Stefan Govasli and Jan Rune Vikan. Their vision is to offer products with a frugal and comprehensive design, and from the workshop at Tøyen they design, among other things, gift wrapping paper, paper bags, labels, gift ribbons and stickers.
