The iconic monkey of Kay Bojesen saw saw the light of day for the first time in 1951, and this version was made for the 70th anniversary. The monkey is a famous figure in Scandinavian design and this version is for true enthusiasts.
The monkey in the anniversary version is made of five different, FSC-certified types of wood, in a beautiful mosaic pattern.
Kay Bojesen's monkey came about as an idea for a row of pegs, but ended up becoming a world-famous little monkey. The small sculptural figure with its various poses fits perfectly both in the living room and in the children's room.
Silversmith and designer Kay Bojesen is famous for his moving and moody wooden figures. He had a unique talent for bringing life to wood and he has designed more than 2000 objects. He is best known for his playful monkeys and other wooden toys, but has also designed cutlery, jugs and jewellery.
