Thia's Coffee Pot
Tia's coffee kettle is a modern interpretation of the original design kettle. Tia's daughter Sigrid and coffee expert Ola Brattås have developed a new version of the kettle for an optimal brewing experience. The most important thing is that the boiler should be easy to use and easy to clean, without compromising on the design. The patented Os Flow Restrictor ensures that there is minimal grit in the cup. The coffee pot is made of steel, and on the inside you can measure quantities of up to 1 litre. The boiler can be used on induction, ceramic, electric and gas.
Tia's coffee pot is a reborn design icon that you will enjoy for a long time. The kettle is a redesigned version of Tias Eckhoff's coffee kettle 941. Tias Eckhoff (1926-2016) was one of Norway's most versatile designers. He helped make Scandinavian design a term, as well as being a pioneer in industrial design. His production was not that large, but in return several of the products have become design classics. In 1964, Tias Eckhoff received a design award for the coffee pot 941. The coffee pot was only produced for a few years before the modern coffee maker outcompeted the brewed coffee.
Os Tableware is a collaborative project between industrial designer Sigrid Eckhoff and coffee expert Ola Brattås. Together they have arrived at the perfect combination of design and function.
