Hand-dipped candles from the Lysstøperiet at the Norwegian Folk Museum.

The custom of the Holy Three Kings candle has been known in the Nordics for over 300 years. The three-armed candle was lit on Epiphany, 6 January, in memory of the three wise men, also known as Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. many people light the candle on Christmas Eve and let it burn down on 6 January. When you light the beautiful candle let it be a time for reflection. The old prediction says "Hoilag Tre Kongar klår, give a good spring"
