The striped dish towel Abild is a well-known design in the Georg Jensen Damask collection. The dish towel was designed in 1991 by Bent Georg Jensen and woven in a strong linen and cotton blend that provides optimal drying properties. The color Bright Blue is a clear blue color.

For designer and textile engineer Bent Georg Jensen, it was a virtue to combine quality, function and design and he was for many years at the head of Georg Jensen Damask. The Abild dish towel, one of his most famous products, is woven in 50% linen and 50% cotton. The design is elegant on its own or in combination with plain dish towels or kitchen towels.

With a history that spans generations, Georg Jensen Damask represents unique artisanal quality and timeless aesthetic design that covers all forms of textiles for the home. The story officially started in 1756, when Andreas Jensen married Kirsten Christensdatter. Together they laid the foundation for the Georg Jensen Damask we know today.

  • Wash at 60°C.
  • For the colored products, detergent for colored textiles without bleach is recommended to preserve the product's colors as best as possible.
  • Before using the product for the first time, it is recommended that you soak it in cold water for approx. 24 hours. This causes the fibers to straighten and ensures high drying performance from the start.
  • Unfold the product completely before soaking and washing and avoid overfilling the machine as it produces a smoother product.
  • We recommend hanging the product to dry.
  • If you want a smooth and shiny look, ironing is recommended.
