From Oslo Bunads Blanket Gudbrandsdalen
For centuries, artists have been inspired by the beautiful Gudbrandsdalen, the valley with the great contrasts, the green valley sides with the wild rivers, and the beautiful mountains. Designer Andreas Engesvik has been inspired by the lovely flowers in the bunade, where the strong blue main color in the bunade contrasts nicely with the various flowers and their beautiful play of colours.
Bunadspledd is designed by Andreas Engesvik and inspired by Norway's magnificent bunads. The blankets have been a success since their launch in London in the autumn of 2012 and have received a lot of attention in Norway and internationally. Based on Norwegian traditions, the colorful blankets in 100% pure wool have become a modern classic. Today, there are nine different Bunad blankets where each blanket corresponds directly to the colors in the corresponding bunad.
The Bunadspleddet is produced at Grinakervev, a weaving mill which resides in scenic surroundings on the farm Nordre Grinaker in Hadeland and with extensive experience and a focus on quality.
