It is impossible to discuss Norwegian design history without mentioning Hadeland Glassverk, a company that has shaped Norwegian culture for more than 260 years. Seen in retrospect, it is impressive that it is still possible to operate a craft industry on almost the same terms as when the business started - especially if we take into account that today many craft professions are on the way to extinction.
