Heritage Plaid Yellow
Heritage - a light and soft woolen rug. The carpet Heritage is designed by Norwegian Plesner Patterns and won Red Dot Design Award in 2024.
The blanket is woven in thin delicate wool from Australia & New Zealand at Grinakervev in Hadeland. Unevenness may occur, and splicing of threads may be visible. This shows that there is craftsmanship behind it and will not constitute a defect in the product.
The use of older weaving techniques such as waffle weave and herringbone has been chosen to create a contrast between the classic and the modern. By only allowing the waffle pattern to appear in parts of the organic pattern, it becomes like a small window into the future and back into the past.
The ornamentation has been brought into our time, the winding idiom has been continued - what gives an opportunity to "get lost" in the pattern, let your thoughts drift away, into different pockets of time. The heritage wool blanket is designed by Plesner Patterns.
"To honor the ornamentation and its lushness, I have chosen to fill it with more of everything, both colors and different textures, and thus stimulate as many senses as possible.
At my grandmother's old cottage, there is a pine floor clock that has fascinated me for all these years. It exudes a calmness and purity, even with all the detailed carvings. I want to bring these traditional ornaments to our time, give them new life in a different form."

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. The Red Dot Design Award looks back on almost 70 years of history: In 1955, a jury came together for the first time to assess the best designs of the time. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr Peter Zec developed the name and brand for the award. Since then, the coveted "Red Dot" award has been the internationally recognized seal of outstanding design quality. The award winners are presented in yearbooks, museums and online.
