Siirtolapuutarha means city garden in Finnish, the pattern tells of a journey from a lively urban center to the city's parks and gardens full of flowers and plants.
Marimekko is a Finnish design house that is recognized worldwide for its original prints and colors. Founded in 1951 by the visionary Armi Ratia, Marimekko is one of the world's first true lifestyle brands that combines fashion, bags and accessories as well as interiors in a timeless, sustainable and functional design. The heart and soul of Marimekko's designs is their own textile factory in Helsinki, where the bold patterns and colors come to life. Around one million meters of fabric are printed at the factory each year.
