This is still considered one of the greatest climbing feats in Norway, and the so-called Slingsby's route is challenging for climbers to this day. Skagastølstindane in Jotunheimen is the westernmost part of the Styggedals and Skagastøls ridge, Norway's highest mountain ridge, and has as many as five peaks that scrape the clouds more than 2,100 meters above sea level. In addition to Storen, Vetle Skagastølstind (2340 masl.), Midtre Skagastølstind (2284 masl.), Skagastølsnebbet (2222 masl.) and Nordre Skagastølstind (2167 masl.) are in the exclusive club.
