Skaugum is a Norwegian brand that has been making cutlery since 1943. In the factory in Geilo, the cutlery is handmade by skilled craftsmen. The plastic shafts are molded, while the wooden shafts are sawn and milled. Each part is sharpened, polished and drilled by hand. The name Skaugum was approved by King Haakon personally when they had to change their name from "Märtha".
